In August of 2024, Unlimited Faith Ministry (UFM) accomplished something special that we have been wanting to do for a long time. With the support of Julio and Anna Aguilar's generous family and friends, UFM collected an enormous box filled with over 600 pieces of used clothing, countless pairs of shoes, and even some cherished stuffed animals. This box was sent to Puerto Barrios, where Reyna and Elmer shepherd a church and minister to the needs of their community.
The collection and packing effort was a team endeavor. Anna Aguilar, along with her sister-in-law (Julio’s sister), gathered the donated items and packed everything at her home. The task was a challenge—one that required four adults to lift the heavy box onto the back of the truck, with door parts even needing to be removed just to get it out of the house. With the help of Julio’s brother-in-law and nephew, the box was delivered to a local courier, Zuleta Express.
On September 14th 2024, the box arrived at Reyna’s home in Puerto Barrios. The joy was palpable as people gathered to sort through the clothes and shoes. Photos and videos captured the smiles and excitement as members of the community found items they needed. Even sister Reyna was blessed to find a pair of ladies' Clarks shoes, which fit her perfectly. These shoes, known for their support, were an answer to her prayers to the Lord to relieve her foot and back pain. Reyna is always on the move while serving the church, and walking is a necessary part of life in Guatemala.With the shoes she experienced relief from her back pain—a blessing she was truly grateful for. We can only imagine how much these clothes went on to bless many others!
We at Unlimited Faith Ministry extend our heartfelt thanks to all supporters whose generosity made this shipment possible, covering the collection, washing, and shipping costs. While some may see donated clothes as a small gesture, it means the world to the communities in Guatemala. Clothes are expensive, even second-hand, so gifted clothing is a genuine blessing.
Looking ahead, we hope to gather more clothes and, with continued support, send another large shipment—this time to a church in El Rincón, Guatemala. The goal is to include not just clothes, but also packs of new undergarments and socks, which are greatly needed.
