In the mountains of Guatemala lies a small village called El Rincón, where most families sustain themselves through farming corn and beans. However, for many, owning the land they farm on has been a distant dream. Land is scarce, often controlled by just a few families, leaving those with limited means to rent what they can—if they are able to afford the rent.
This past summer, through the incredible generosity of our supporters, Unlimited Faith Ministry was able to purchase a manzana of farmland in El Rincón—a piece of land approximately two acres in size. This land is now providing for two families in the village: Francisco and his family, as well as Erminda and her family. For them, this is more than just a piece of land. It’s security. It’s dignity. It’s a gift that will impact not only their lives but also the future generations of their families.
For families like Francisco’s and Erminda’s, renting land has often been a struggle. High rent costs, unpredictable harvests, and the constant fear of not being able to feed their families weighed heavily on their hearts year after year. But now, with this land, they no longer have to worry about whether they can afford to farm. They no longer have to fear losing access to the very ground they rely on to survive.
This land is a representation of God’s provision—a tangible reminder of His faithfulness and the body of Christ coming together to meet the needs of others. As Philippians 4:19 reminds us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Jeremiah 29:11 declares, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Through your generosity, God has used the ministry to demonstrate His plans for a hopeful and prosperous future for Francisco, Erminda, and their families.
This monumental blessing would not have been possible without your prayers and support. Together, we’ve been able to empower these families, providing them not just with the means to farm but with a future filled with hope and possibility.
We’ve included some photos of the land, as well as Francisco and Erminda standing in their field, and a heartfelt video of them sharing their gratitude for this incredible gift. They express their thanks to everyone who supports the ministry and made this possible. The video was captured by our dear friend and brother in Christ, Dilmar, who has been our hands and feet in Guatemala. Dilmar played a key role in connecting the ministry to the land’s seller and navigating the logistics of the sale. Another invaluable brother in Christ, Jorge, helped Francisco and Erminda with all the necessary paperwork. We hope these images and the video give you a glimpse of the profound difference your support has made.
